Pak vs SL, 1st Test, Abu Dhabi - Full Commentary 2nd ings

Srilanka2nd ings;
The Pakistani openers are out on the field. Remember, the officials can call the match off after 6 overs.
Pakistan have managed to take the final 4 wickets in the space of 7 overs conceding just 17 runs. After a torrid day in the field where they dropped the 6th catch of the innings, this should come as a boost. Umar Gul was the pick of the bowlers taking 4 wickets. Sangakkara and Prasanna Jayawardene were the stars of the batting lineup with the former going on to score his 8th double hundred. Pakistan need 170 runs in 21 overs. An ideal T20 situation. Let's see how they approach this target. Stay tuned.

Welcome back for the final session. 90% draw, 10% Pakistan win. Play!
So finally we got to see some action towards the end. Sangakkara fell in the final over before Tea and has given us some reason to be excited. But Sri Lanka are still in control of this one. Sanga's double and Prasanna's century has done enough to steer them to safety. With only 1 session left, I can't see how this game can produce a result. but stranger things have happened, so join us in a while for the final session.

The Sri Lankan pair has played out one session. They have been solid in defence right from the first ball and in addition to that, have played the loose deliveries into the gaps. Jayawardene reached his half century and considering that he had to work really hard for each run, he shall treasure this knock. 66 runs have come in 29 overs, most of which consisted of some uninspiring bowling from Pakistan. There were few flashes of brilliance from Junaid, but they were too few and at irregular intervals. The match is not yet over, Lanka are just 50 ahead and Pakistan will go to lunch knowing that if they can sneak in a wicket or two, victory will not be far. Join us in half an hour for the second session.

Hello and welcome to the last day's play of the first test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The match is precariously placed with Pakistan requiring 5 wickets to seal a victory. However Lanka are only 16 runs behind and they will look to bat out 2 or more sessions to save the test, and possibly, set Pakistan a target in the final hours of the match. Sangakkara has played an amazing knock and is still at the crease batting on 161. Giving him able support is the wicketkeeper batsman Prasanna Jayawardene. Stay with us for what should be an engrossing day's play.
Sangakkara pushes the game to the fifth day. What a knock from him. Yes, he did get some help from Pakistan's fielders but you have to give credit to him. It has been hard for the Pakistani bowlers. They not only had to battle Sangakkara, but also had to put up with some sloppy catching. As many as 5 catches went down today, allowing Sri Lanka to survive and give themselves a chance to draw the game. Still a long way to go though. A good final day awaits us. Join us tomorrow then, for now it is bye bye from all of us here.

Mahela is still shaking his head in the dressing room. He knows that he has played a poor shot and his dismissal has given Pakistan a great chance of winning the game. Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik - husband of Sania Mirza is having a great time even though he isn't playing. He is sitting in that mini car which carries the drinks and seems to be enjoying himself.
Drinks are on the field now. Definitely Pakistan's hour that. A gifted wicket first and then a super ball to get rid of MJ. Two wickets and with the ball reversing, they are in with a great chance to get into the lower middle order. Sri Lanka need a huge stand from the two in the middle now. It will be Sid P who is raring to go after a heavy lunch who will bring you the action till tea.

54.3 Aizaz Cheema to Dilshan, FOUR!!, nice looking shot to get off the mark. Trademark Dilshan. Back of a length outside off, sitting up to be cracked off the backfoot and that's what Dilshan does with disdain. Even on the slow outfield, there is no stopping that.

It spun back sharply from outside off and Mahela Jayawardene chopped it on. Wasn't short, nor was it wide. The extravagant turn doing it for Ajmal and he goes off on a celebratory run. Double failure for Mahela Jayawardene on a flat track. How often do you see that? Mahela Jayawardene is god on flat roads like these, but he has flopped twice. He practises the shot as he walks off. 50.5 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, out Thirimanne Run Out!!1 run completed. What was Thirimanne thinking? He played that off his pads towards deep backward square, turned blind and realised his folly. Azhar moved to his left and fired it on the bounce to Adnan who did the rest. Thirimanne was caught well short. Sangakkara saw the decision on the big screen and shook his head. He knows that it was a poor call from the youngster. Suddenly Pakistan have got a boost out of nowhere. Enter MJ - not Michael Jackson, but Mahela Jayawardene. Thirimanne run out (Azhar Ali/Adnan Akmal) 68(159) [4s-4]
Looks like Thirimanne could be gone. What madness from Thirimanne. Third umpire called for. OUT! A dreadful call from Thirimanne. Never a 2nd there. What a waste of a wicket. Suddenly a wicket out of nowhere for Pakistan and it has been gift-wrapped and couriered to them by Thirimanne.

49.4 Ajmal to Sangakkara, FOUR!!, in the air, but in the gap as well - as one famous commentator would describe if he was on air. Sangakkara stepped forward and then saw the loopy delivery outside off and thrashed it over cover. No one moved as the ball went to its predicted destination.

Welcome back for the post-lunch session. Hafeez to continue.
The story of the session: The butter fingers of Pakistan. 4 dropped catches. How have Sri Lanka gone wicketless in the session? It was all about the shoddy catching of Pakistan. Hafeez dropped three and Younis one. Amidst all that, Younis caught one and wasn't given as the BOD went to Sanga. Junaid Khan was superb and should have had both the batsmen. He was the one to suffer as two dropped catches and the BOD went against him. If this continues, Pakistan might need 20+ wickets to win the game. The batsmen have helped themselves to fifties and with a generous opposition ready to help them out, they look good for more. Will the second session bring about a change in fortunes? We will come back shortly to tell you more about it.

38.2 Hafeez to Sangakkara, no run, Are they playing with a cricket ball or with a piece of soap? Dropped by Younis now at 1st slip. Superb off break, ripped away from the surface, drew the edge from a tentative Sangakkara. Younis went one handed to his right and it hit the hard part of his hand and went to ground. Those chances either stick or they don't. This one didn't. 4th drop of the day. SL leading a charmed life.

35.4 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, well tossed up outside off, left alone
35.3 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, would you believe it? Hafeez the man again, dropping a very tough chance at gully. Cut hard and flat, it was flying to the left of Hafeez and it rebounded off his body as he was taking evasive action. Thankfully for Thirimanne, it didn't rebound to any of the close in men. He survives for the third time today. Ajmal appreciates Hafeez's effort by encouraging him, while Hafeez has a wry smile on his face.
35.2 Ajmal to Thirimanne, FOUR!!, Hits Azhar Ali at short leg and then goes over Taufeeq Umar at square leg. The slog sweep and a nice boundary for Thirimanne. Azhar Ali is under a bit of strife, but he is ready to go again. Now he moves into a silly point position.

32.3 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, no run, outside off, left alone
32.2 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, no run, lady luck isn't smiling on Junaid Khan. 2 dropped catches and now this. Sangakkara driving at a ball well outside off and it went low to the right of YK, he seemed to have it caught it, but once it goes to the third umpire, it is always iffy. And as expected Sangakkara gets the BOD. Looked like the ball just about touched the grass as YK scooped it up. Sangakkara's reluctance to leave prompted Hill to go upstairs. Younis wasn't sure too and that might have influenced the decision. That's where players like Kallis are so good. He asks the fielder and if he replies that he has taken it, Kallis walks off. Anway back to the game now.
Drama here. Younis Khan has caught one at 2nd slip. He threw it up straight-away. Sangakkara is going nowhere. YK now indicates that he is not sure. Third ump called into action now. A hard one. Replays show that it looks very close. Are Younis' fingers under the ball? BOD may go to Sangakkara. And it does. Sangakkara stays.

28.1 Junaid Khan to Thirimanne, no run, Danny M on air: 'I can't believe that I'm seeing this'. What a clanger! 2 balls. 2 dropped catches from Hafeez. Twice Thirimanne has survived. This was a dolly. Once again a needless shot from Thirimanne. Playing well away from the body and driving at a full ball outside off, the edge went chest high to Hafeez and the hands were too far apart and he shelled it. Junaid Khan cannot believe it. Hafeez encourages Junaid Khan after that. Not sure Junaid Khan will be impressed though.

25.1 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, quicker delivery on off stump, Sangakkara gets forward to smother the spin and bat pads it in the end. Lots of oohs and aahs from the Pakistanis
Drinks are on the field now. Pakistan have plugged away at the two with some tight bowling, but Thirimanne has been lucky on a couple of occasions and Sangakkara has looked solid. Sri Lanka have done well to have survived the first hour of play. But still they have a long way to go if they have to save this game.

24.6 Junaid Khan to Thirimanne, no run, pushed to Cheema at mid on. No chance of a quick single

21.6 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, gets a good stride forward and defends
21.5 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, huge appeal for a stumping and Thirimanne did well to get his backfoot back in time. He went for the sweep and stretched his backfoot out, missed the sweep and had the presence of mind to push it back in. Adnan was quick, but Thirimanne was quicker. Sharp work from the youngest Akmal it must be said
21.4 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, short outside off, punched to short cover
Now a gully has come in standing next to Younis Khan
21.3 Ajmal to Sangakkara, 1 run, Sangakkara got forward to defend and the ball took a tiny outer edge and rolled along the ground wide of point. They take the single
21.2 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, Sangakkara gets forward and then sees it bowled outside off, left alone
21.1 Ajmal to Thirimanne, 3 runs, he is going after it with hard hands and goes wide of a diving Younis at 1st slip. Went along the ground, but once again a streaky shot from Thirimanne.

20.6 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, slanted across Sangakkara on a fuller length, left alone
20.5 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, full outside off, Sangakkara gets forward and drives to cover. No timing on that shot
20.4 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, 2 runs, a hint of streakiness in that shot. Pushed at it with an open face, got it wide of gully and it was in the air for a while, but went wide of gully
20.3 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, short of length delivery on off stump, Sangakkara is back and defending solidly
20.2 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, 1 run, Thirimanne takes a quick single to Gul at mid off as he got it wide of him a tad
20.1 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, 3 runs, fine shot. Arches back a tad and cuts past cover. Gul gives chase and stops it near the ropes
Aizaz Cheema [8.0-0-27-0] is back into the attack

19.6 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, Close! But Rod Tucker thinks otherwise. How was that not-out? If Thirimanne hadn't got an inside edge onto the pads, he was a dead duck there. He played outside the line of the ball to a straighter one on the stumps and was struck in front of off and middle. Huge appeal from Ajmal and Co. But Tucker indicates that it might have missed off. Replays show that it was hitting middle. Thirimanne is lucky to be there. No inside edge onto the pads and no UDRS for Tests as well.
19.5 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, once again, Thirimanne is forward and smothering the spin
19.4 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, well tossed up on the stumps, Thirimanne comes on the frontfoot and defends
19.3 Ajmal to Thirimanne, 2 runs, takes it from outside off and reaches out to sweep to backward square leg, an easy couple
19.2 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, quicker delivery on the stumps. Skidding on, Thirimanne had to bring his bat down in time and does so, defending it back down the pitch
19.1 Ajmal to Thirimanne, no run, flighted delivery outside off, Thirimanne gets forward and pushes to cover, wants a single, but isn't there

18.6 Umar Gul to Sangakkara, no run, short ball to end the over, Sangakkara ducks
18.6 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no ball, 3 runs, a big no-ball that. Umar Gul striving for pace and bowling a full toss on the pads, Thirimanne calmly tucks it through mid wicket area and they come back for the third as well
18.5 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, calmly defended from the crease to mid on area
18.4 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, 2 runs, neatly tucked off the hips past the short leg man. They run aggressively to come back for the easy second in the end
18.3 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, far too wide outside off, Thirimanne easily leaves
18.2 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, after that last ball, this one doesn't carry at all. Goes on the bounce to Adnan after Thirimanne shoulders arms
18.1 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, back of a length delivery slanting across Thirimanne who lets it go. Nice carry through to Adnan

17.6 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, short and wide outside off, Sangakkara cuts and finds backward point
17.5 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, back to forward defence from Sangakkara
17.4 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, lots of oohs and aahs from Adnan. This one was on leg stump, Sangakkara tried to close the face on it too early and almost paid the price. The soft leading edge rolls along the ground to where a silly point would've been
17.3 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, drifting in with the angle, but Sangakkara is solid in defence
17.2 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, and again. A nice stride forward and then pushes to cover
17.1 Ajmal to Sangakkara, no run, well tossed up outside off, Sangakkara gets forward and pushes to cover
Saeed Ajmal [1.0-0-4-0] is back into the attack
Spin now. The wily Ajmal is on now. A slip and a short leg in place for him. From round the wicket he comes.

16.6 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, full and swinging into the pads, Thirimanne missed out on the flick. Going down though.
16.5 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, that front-foot movement again. He gets his left leg across and then has to bring his bat down at an angle to push that off stump ball to the leg side. Didn't swing back in that much, if it had Thirimanne might have been in huge strife
16.4 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, the expected bouncer arrives, but it is too short and Thirimanne ducks under it easily
16.3 Umar Gul to Sangakkara, 1 run, Umar Gul bowls it on the hips, Sangakkara gets inside the line and glances it down to fine leg
16.2 Umar Gul to Sangakkara, no run, now gets forward and shows the full face of the bat to push it back to Umar Gul
16.1 Umar Gul to Sangakkara, no run, Sangakkara is very compact in defence. No extravagant feet movement. Just a slight shuffle and then a block. Solidly done.

15.6 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, that's much better. This one is on a back of a length outside off, Thirimanne defends off the backfoot
15.5 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, Aizaz Cheema now beats Thirimanne with one that is fuller and outside off. Thirimanne thinks he is in business for the cover drive, but the ball keeps on going across him and he isn't to the pitch of the ball and his ungainly drive meets thin air. Thirimanne is keeping the Pakistanis and the slip fielders interested all the while. A poor shot it must be said. No need to play at those.
15.4 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, 1 run, much more solid from Sangakkara. His feet stay in a nice position, drops it in front of cover and takes on Junaid and makes it easily. It was a wild throw, Adnan couldn't stop it, but it went to Gul at fine leg. No extra runs taken
15.3 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, 1 run, a thickish outside edge, but it rolls along the ground past cover. Thirimanne once again getting into a tangle as his front-foot is going a long way across outside off. He might be in big trouble if he continues to play like that
15.2 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, fullish on the stumps, Thirimanne gets forward and pushes it to short mid
15.1 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, short of length delivery outside off, Thirimanne stands tall and punches to cover
Three slips and a gully for Cheema too.

14.6 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, leg byes, 1 run, runs off the pad as Umar Gul drifts down leg, he isn't happy that he has slipped it down leg and Cheema at fine leg mops up
14.5 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, the fullish length that draws Thirimanne forward, but this time he is nicely covering the line of the ball and defending
One of the men on the on side has now moved into a third slip. So three slips and a gully now.
14.4 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, there are two men on the leg side for the uppish flick, but Thirimanne taps it softly to short mid wicket
14.3 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, left alone to a ball outside off
14.2 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, FOUR!!, now the edge flies between the slips and the gully. Thirimanne pushing at a back of a length delivery outside off and the edge going wide of the 2nd slip. Lucky boundary and Umar Gul has a grimace on his face
14.1 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, Peach! Umar Gul is making the ball talk now. Thirimanne's front-foot is moving far too across. There is a pre-dominant initial front-foot movement, which is accentuating his problems. That movement makes him grope forward and the ball seams away to miss the bat, even as Thirimanne is struggling to cover the line of the ball. Just about missed the edge.

13.6 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, well left. The odd ball isn't carrying to Adnan and this one doesn't too.
13.5 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, now crouches a tad and keeps this good length delivery on off stump out
13.4 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, loud shout for LBW as Sangakkara shouldered arms. The ball pitched outside leg and moved across Sangakkara, Sangakkara was struck outside off and it was going over as well. The loud appeal died down pretty quickly
Aizaz Cheema is now back over the wicket.
13.3 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, rock solid defence from Sangakkara. Standing tall and blocking a short of length ball down the pitch
13.2 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, no run, shuffles across a tad and looks to work a length ball on the body, but misses out. Gets into a tangle, but the ball rolls near his feet
13.1 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, FOUR!!, that shot is an indicator to the Pakistanis that Sangakkara is getting into his stride. The picture perfect straight drive. High elbow and a neat push back past the bowler. Not that well timed, but it dribbled across the ropes.

12.6 Umar Gul to Sangakkara, 1 run, slanting into the pads, Sangakkara turns the wrists over it and places it down to deep square leg. He will retain strike
12.5 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, 1 run, a high full toss outside off, Thirimanne completely mistimed that, but gets a single with a tame drive past cover
12.4 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, tapped softly in front of square leg, Thirimanne didn't go hard at that
12.3 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, full and inviting Thirimanne on the front-foot, Thirimanne gets forward and drives to mid on, straight to the fielder
12.2 Umar Gul to Thirimanne, no run, well bowled! Thirimanne needn't have played at that, but he pushed his front-foot across and tried to waft at a ball that seamed across him. In the end, he was lucky that the ball seamed away a long way and missed the edge of his bat by a mile
12.1 Umar Gul to Sangakkara, 1 run, a loosener to start from Umar Gul, no real pace on that delivery, short of a length on the pads, Sangakkara easily tucks it to deep square leg
Umar Gul [4.0-0-16-1] is back into the attack

11.6 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, extravagant swing after crossing Thirimanne, it was the effort ball from Aizaz Cheema, dug in short and angled across Thirimanne, who ducked and a good diving take in front of first slip by Adnan
11.5 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, he is probing away in the corridor of uncertainty, angled across Thirimanne on a fuller length and moving away, Thirimanne lets it go
11.4 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, good length delivery on the middle, Thirimanne comes forward and pushes to mid wicket
11.3 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, 2 runs, fuller on the pads, Thirimanne flicks uppishly just wide of the short leg fielder and the batsmen come back for the second
11.2 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, good length delivery angled across Thirimanne who gets forward and defends
11.1 Aizaz Cheema to Sangakkara, 1 run, fuller length delivery on the pads, Sangakkara flicks it to square leg for a single
Welcome to the live coverage of the 4th day of the first test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka . Pakistan are truly on top in this match after laboring their way to 511/6 at the end of the third day. They left Sri Lanka to negotiate 11 overs in the final session and managed to account for one of their openers. Sangakkara at one drop has looked positive and it will nothing short of a survival battle for him and the rest of the Lankans. Stay tuned for what should be an absorbing day's play.
Another day of complete dominance from Pakistan. Taufeeq Umar scored 236, his first Test double hundred, the second highest score by a Pakistan opener after Hanif Mohammad's 337. Pakistan ended with a 314 run cushion and Umar Gul struck off his first ball with some support from umpire Hill. Sangakkara and Thirimanne managed to survive a hostile spell from the new ball bowlers and knocked off 47 runs in the process. Sri Lanka still trail by 267 runs with 9 second innings wickets in hand. Pakistan hold all the aces. This pitch is still good to bat and Sri Lanka will hope one of their top-order batsmen will do a Taufeeq Umar as they seek to save the test. Do join us tomorrow for all the action. This is Pradeep and Ganesh signing off. Bye and have a great night..

10.6 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, 1 run, Sanga will end the day's play by flicking a length delivery on the pads towards deep mid-wicket for a single. That is also stumps for day 3.
Last ball of the day
10.5 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, no run, short and outside off. Sangakkara cuts but can't beat point
The umpires confer in the middle, but decide that the light is good enough for 2 more balls
10.4 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, FOUR!!, short of good length outside off. Sangakkara opens the face of the bat and steers it in the gap between the slips and the gully for a boundary
10.3 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, no run, better from Sangakkara, watches a length delivery outside off all along and lets it go
10.2 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, no run, loose from Sangakkara. Full and outside off, it skidded through outside off. Sangakkara has an unnecessary swish at that and misses. Sanga should realise that this is the last over of the day
10.1 Junaid Khan to Sangakkara, FOUR!!, a loosener to start off from Junaid Khan, angles it on the pads of Sangakkara who merrily tucks it past square leg for a boundary

It will be Junaid who will bowl it

9.3 Aizaz Cheema to Thirimanne, no run, Loud shout for LBW, the angle from round the wicket would have taken it down the leg. The height was a question as well, Thirimanne was rapped high on the pads in front of the middle stump. The umpires generally will not give those in favour of the bowlers

Paranavitana lbw b Umar Gul 0(1)
Pakistan  2nd ings;
Right then, that's all we have. Thank you for joining us for the coverage. Just hop on to the next tab where New Zealand are on course for another victory against Zimbabwe. Take care and Good bye.
Misbah Ul Haq has praised his bowlers. They deserve every bit of that coming their way. It was an impressive effort from Junaid Khan and Cheema, especially the former who would have surely ended up with more wickets if not for the horrible catching.
Misbah Ul Haq: Sri Lanka are a very good side. Wonderful effort from both their centurions. The only negative of Pakistan's performance was the fielding. We are gonna work on the catching. It was sheer bad luck that we dropped so many catches. We know that there is a bit for the fast bowlers initially in Abu Dhabi. I'm really impressed with my bowlers. It's gonna be a good series
Dilshan: I am proud of my team, especially of the body language shown in the field. We were worried after Pakistan's batting. We have discussed about something which we will try to execute in the next match.
Kumar Sangakkara: It has been one of the most satisfying knocks that I have ever played. I expected Pakistan to give it a chase, but they didn't. Jayawardene's innings was far superior as he had to come at 5 down and face the second new ball. Thirimanne played really well. The bowlers toilled hard on a lifeless wicket. They never allowed the opposition to walk away with the honours in any session. We have come a bit on top considering where we were on the 1st day and where we are now on the final day.
Kumar Sangakkara is the Man of the Match for his splendid double century.
This was a test match for big hundreds. One person from both teams made a huge hundred. But Sangakkara's rearguard action where he batted for more than 5 hours with various partners, main amongst them being the wicketkeeper batsman Prasanna Jayawardene. Sanga displayed his immaculate techinque and powers of concentration as he not only played out the good deliveries but also sent the bad ones to the boundary ropes. Jayawardene on the other hand looked rough at the start, but once he reached his fifty he grew in confidence to bring up his 4th hundred. For Pakistan, this match will be remembered by the fans for their sloppy fielding than the brave bowling on a lifeless wicket.
Sri Lanka will go back to their hotel rooms thinking that they have gained the upper hand and bragging rights after being down in the dumps. Pakistan bowled brilliantly on the first day. An inspiring spell by Junaid Khan, ably helped by the spinners, on a flat track ensured that they had to bat at the end of the first day. Umar batted brilliantly, albeit too slowly, to make his first double hundred. Probably the pace of their innings proved to be the miscalculation as Sri Lanka wiped out the deficit of 314 runs. On their way through they were helped by 6 dropped catches, 4 of them simple chances which could have been taken by non cricketers as well.
Dilshan has agreed to stop the torture. He shakes hands with the Pakistani batsmen. That's the end of the match.
